Anfas.Pro vs traditional photo studio: which option fits you
A high-street photo studio is fast, in-person and familiar. An online tool is cheaper, instantly retakeable and applies the exact country specification. Both are valid choices for different situations.
Quick answer
Studio for one-off; online for retake-heavy or rare countries
Use a photo studio if you need a printed photo today and are travelling to a country with a common photo specification (US, Schengen, UK). Use Anfas.Pro if you need precise country handling, are likely to retake, want a digital file for online portals, or are applying for an unusual country/document.

When each option makes sense
Choose a photo studio if you want a printed copy today, are physically near a studio, and your destination uses a common photo size (US 2 × 2 inches, Schengen 35 × 45 mm, UK 45 × 35 mm). The convenience of walking in and walking out with prints in 30 minutes is real.
Choose Anfas.Pro if you are applying to a country with an unusual specification (China 33 × 48 mm, India 35 × 35 mm, Canada 50 × 70 mm), if you are uploading to an online portal (DS-160, ImmiAccount, GOV.UK, France-Visas, IRCC) that wants the photo in a specific pixel/KB format, or if the photo will likely need 2–3 retakes (studio retakes are full price each time).
You can also use both: get the digital file from Anfas.Pro for the online portal upload, then send the same file to a photo lab for printed copies. Many of our customers do this.
Frequently asked questions
Do photo studios apply the country-specific photo specification?
Many do not. Most high-street studios use a default "passport photo" output (usually a Schengen-like 35 × 45 mm with a light-grey background) and rely on the customer to confirm if a different country is involved. Specify the exact country and document when ordering, and verify the output before paying.
Is the digital file from a studio compatible with online visa portals?
Often not. Studios produce print-optimised files that are too large (>1 MB) for portal upload caps (typically 240 KB). The Anfas.Pro tool exports portal-friendly files automatically.
What if my photo from Anfas.Pro is rejected?
Full refund within 14 days of the issuing authority's rejection notice. See our refund policy for the exact process.
