FAQ photo de documents

Site-wide answers covering acceptance, refunds, supported countries, photo storage, and which sources we rely on. For document-specific questions, every leaf page has its own FAQ.

Top questions

Will my Anfas.Pro photo definitely be accepted?

No service can guarantee acceptance — the final decision is always the issuing authority's. What we do guarantee is that the photo we produce matches the spec we publish for that country and document. The spec is traced to the authority's own source on every leaf page.

How recent must my source photo be?

Most authorities require the photo to have been taken within the last six months. If you have changed hairstyle, gained or lost noticeable weight, or now wear glasses, retake the source photo before using the tool.

Can I use a smartphone photo?

Yes — most modern smartphone cameras produce a high enough resolution. Use natural daylight from a window, fill the frame with the upper torso and head, and avoid posing too close (which distorts facial proportions).

My country is not listed. Can you add it?

Write to hello@anfas.pro with the country and document. We add profiles in priority order based on real demand; your request increases that country's priority.

What happens if my photo is rejected?

Compare the rejection reason to the spec we publish for the document and the country. If the issue was on our side (we got the spec wrong), we refund the full amount and correct the page. If the issue was a quality problem in your source photo (out-of-focus, low light), retake and re-run through the tool.

Do you store my uploaded photos?

We process the upload in memory to produce the final file, then delete the original after delivery. See our privacy policy for the technical details and retention windows.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Card payments via our PSP (Stripe). VAT receipts are issued automatically for EU customers. There is no subscription — you pay only when you download a generated photo set.

Are glasses allowed in the photo?

Country by country. ICAO 9303 (the global baseline) discourages glasses and bans tinted lenses. Many countries prohibit glasses entirely (USA since 2016). See the per-country leaf page for the exact rule, or our glasses guide for a cross-country comparison.

Less common but verified document formats

These countries have fewer than three verified specifications on Anfas.Pro. Each link below points to a leaf page with the exact size, background, head ratio, and the official source the spec was traced to.
