Paper is separate from image quality
A high-resolution JPEG cannot compensate for paper that absorbs ink, bends easily or produces banding. Conversely, good paper cannot repair a blurred or incorrectly cropped source. Check both sides of the workflow.

Choose the correct paper type in the driver, disable automatic scaling and use the printer’s highest normal photo-quality mode. Borderless settings can enlarge the image, so measure the result.
When a studio is safer
