Don’t wear white to the appointment
Because the background is white, the consulate asks applicants: «please do not wear white for your appointment».
How the application works in Toronto
- Complete the online form and choose an appointment date and time.
- Make and confirm the online payment.
- Attend the consulate in person for vetting and biometric capture, with original documents and notarised copies.
- Provide a self-addressed prepaid return envelope with tracking.
Allow 6–8 weeks; the 15-day period applies only to applicants in Ghana.
Guarantors and a witness
You need two guarantors aged 18 or over who have known you for at least 2 years (relatives may act), and one witness from the professions listed by the consulate who signs the form and is not one of the guarantors.
