Crop a photo to 35 × 45 mm — Kyrgyzstan international passport

For this document the photo is taken by the office, not by you

This is not a document where you bring or upload your own portrait: the photo is taken where the application is filed. Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic still publishes what the portrait has to look like, and those numbers are on this page — but meeting them in a file of your own does not replace that visit.

Do not confuse it with another Kyrgyzstan document

Kyrgyzstan does not use one frame for everything. This page is about international passport — 35 × 45 mm. The documents below are cut to a different size, so a file prepared here will not fit them.

What cropping will not fix

Why these photos get rejected — and how to fix each one

ReasonFix
Face not in 70-80% range Re-crop to ICAO spec
Background with shadows or patterns Re-shoot against clean backdrop
Black-and-white photo Re-shoot in colour
Photo older than 6 months Re-shoot

Printing on a single sheet

4 × 2 frames fit on one 10×15 cm sheet — 8 copies from a single print.

10 × 15 cm · 4×6″8 (4 × 2)
A4 · 21 × 29.7 cm36 (6 × 6)

Print at 100% scale, borderless, and turn off fit-to-page so each photo keeps its exact size.

What the source confirms
  • Kyrgyz biometric passport handling uses authority collection of biometric data at service points.
  • The collected biometric data includes a digital facial photograph, fingerprints and signature.
  • The facial image rules require a neutral expression, closed mouth and open eyes.
  • Headwear is restricted, with narrow exceptions such as religious head covering that does not hide the face.
  • Glasses are allowed only under qualifying visual-disability conditions and must not hide the eyes.

What the cropper is still good for here

It will not produce the official photo for this document. It is here for the neighbouring jobs: a portrait for the application form, a copy for your own records, or another Kyrgyzstan document that does accept a photo you prepared yourself.

The document requires: 35 × 45 mm · Head height 70–80%

The photo is cropped in your browser. It is not uploaded to a server and we do not store it.

How to crop it, in three steps

  1. Upload a photo taken face-on, in even light
  2. Move the photo until the eyes sit on the guide line and the head fills 70–80%
  3. Save the 35 × 45 mm result — print it or attach it to the application
