How does this work?
The tool runs a MobileFaceNet neural network entirely in your browser to extract a 512-dimensional face embedding from each photo, then measures cosine similarity between the two vectors. No data is sent to any server.
What similarity score means the same person?
Scores above 50% generally indicate the same identity. The model scores same-person pairs around 80% and different-person pairs below 35%.
Why does the model take a moment to load?
The face-embedding model (13 MB) loads once into your browser's WASM runtime. Subsequent comparisons are instant.
