Frequently asked
Is it really free?
Yes: the finished photo and the print sheet are free, with no watermarks and no sign-up. Only AI correction is paid — for what can't be fixed for free: light on the face, clothing, pose.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is computed in your browser; the photo never leaves your device.
Which documents are supported?
656 documents from 154 countries: passports, visas, residence permits, driving licences and more. The size, background and crop follow the rules of the document you choose.
How do I take a selfie for a passport photo?
Best of all, ask someone to take it with the rear camera from about a metre away: a selfie at arm’s length makes the face look wider. Hold the phone at eye level, face a window, turn the flash off and leave room above your head and below your shoulders — the tool needs it to crop. Look straight into the lens with a neutral face.
What does the free tool fix, and what does the AI version add?
For free: the crop to the document’s size, a background in the required colour, a straightened tilt, and a check of the frame and file against the rules. That check is technical — judge the look yourself. The AI version (€5.99) also fixes what cropping can’t: uneven light and shadows on the face, clothing and pose. You see its result before you pay.
What exactly will I download?
Two files. A JPEG with the document’s size in pixels and within its file-size limit — for an online application. And a print sheet, 10 × 15 cm or A4, with several copies at the exact size in millimetres. Print the sheet at 100 % scale, without fit-to-page.
Need studio precision?
AI correction fixes what a free edit can't: light on the face, shadows, clothing and pose — to the document's rules.
