The Ministry’s photo standard
- Size: 35 mm wide by 45 mm high.
- Face: 32 to 36 mm (70–80 % of the picture), from the bottom of the chin to the top of the skull, hair excluded.
- Background: plain white, without border.
- Recent and looking like you on the day of filing.
- Sharp, without fold or mark; neither over- nor under-exposed, correct contrast, no cast shadow on the face or in the background. A colour photo is strongly recommended.
- Bare head without headgear or decorative object, head straight and face to the lens; gaze on the lens, neutral expression, mouth closed; face clear, eyes perfectly visible and open.
Glasses
If you have glasses you are not obliged to wear them. If you do, the frame must not be thick and must not hide the eyes, the lenses must be neither tinted nor coloured, and there must be no reflection on the glasses.
