How many photos embassies ask for

The Foreign Ministry list says one photo. The Embassy of Latvia in London also asks for one recent colour photo, 35 x 45 mm, that closely resembles your current look. The Embassy in New Delhi asks for two colour photos, 35 x 45 mm, taken in the last 6 months, on a white background; there applicants also give fingerprints and a digital photo in person.

Fingerprints and timing

Under the EU Visa Code, fingerprints are taken in person at the first application and copied to later ones if first collected less than 59 months earlier; children under 12 are exempt. You apply no more than six months before the trip and, as a rule, no later than 15 calendar days before it.
