What to do now
- Take a new photo: Take a picture against a flat, well-lit white background. Ensure there are no shadows on the face or background.
- Adjust the size: Crop the image to a perfect square measuring 200x200 pixels.
- Check the file size: Save the photo in JPG or PNG format. Ensure the file size is between 5 and 100 KB. Use an online image compressor if necessary.
- Submit your application: Upload the prepared photo while filling out the form on the official portal visa.visitsaudi.com or ksavisa.sa.
Common mistakes
- Incorrect file size: Uploading photos larger than 100 KB (the system will display an error).
- Non-white background: Using a gray, cream, or textured background instead of plain white.
- Glasses and headwear: Wearing sunglasses or having glare on the lenses. Headwear is allowed only for religious reasons, but the face must be completely visible.
- Incorrect proportions: The face is too small or too large in the frame (it must be 70-80%).
Rules change frequently — before taking action, always check the current requirements on the official government source provided above.
