Taiwan Visa Photo Requirements: Two 45 x 35 mm Colour Photos, White Background, Taken Within 6 Months
TECO offices ask for two colour photos, 45 mm high by 35 mm wide, white background, taken within six months; the head from chin to crown measures 32–36 mm.

Key points
5 points- TECO New York: two colour headshots on photo paper, 45 mm high and 35 mm wide, taken during the last six months.
- TECO Vancouver: white background, no hair across the eyes; ears, eyebrows, moles, birthmarks and scars must not be covered.
- TECO Switzerland: 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm colour photo, white background, face between 3.2 cm and 3.6 cm.
- Taiwan MOFA warns: do not use coloured or pupil-distorting contact lenses — the mismatch can cause visa rejection or trouble at immigration.
- Offices differ: TECO in Thailand (2023 sheet) lists two 2 x 2 inch colour photos with a plain background, white recommended.
Taiwan has no single visa-photo page: each Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) lists its own line, and they are close but not identical. Here is what the offices say.

Contact lenses
A note from Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the same page: do not use photos with coloured or pupil-distorting contact lenses when applying for a passport or a visa, because the difference between the photo and the real facial features can cause visa rejection or difficulty in immigration clearance.
