What the source confirms
- Legislative Herald of Georgia, Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs No. 598 (consolidated), Article 24(4): to be admitted to the driving test the candidate submits to the Examination Service an application (electronic or material) stating the category or subcategory; a photograph — taken at the Examination Service using special technical means; an identity document; a document showing the place of residence if the identity document does not; documents proving payment of the fees; a document of training at a driving school (except in the cases provided by law); a licence already held for another category; a health certificate where required.
- Same order, Article 51(3)–(4): when a driving licence is replaced or a lost one restored through a representative, the data in the new licence follow the last entries of the register, and boxes 6 and 7 of the new licence receive the holder's photograph and the holder's electronic signature created and stored in electronic form in the Agency when the earlier licence was issued; the replacement or restoration through a representative is not carried out if the documents required are not presented, if the holder's photograph or electronic signature is not stored electronically in the Agency, or on another ground of refusal.
- Same order, Article 24(1)–(2): the driving test, theoretical or practical, is conducted by the Examination Service through an examiner who must be an employee of the Agency with the necessary knowledge and skills; an examiner may not work as an instructor in a driver training institution.
