Why these photos get rejected — and how to fix each one
Georgia-specific things to know
- Georgia asks for a smaller head than most — 50–70 % of the image height — and bans mobile-device photos and scans of other documents outright, so the picture has to be a proper, current portrait.
- Every traveller, including a child, needs a separate e-visa with their own photo, and the child must be alone in the frame with no supporting arms or hands visible.
- The fee is not refundable even if the e-visa is refused, so a rejected photo is an expensive mistake; the decision takes not less than 5 working days.

- Georgia e-Visa portal FAQ, photo requirements: the photo should be taken within 6 months of submitting the application and reflect the current appearance; the applicant must face the camera directly and profile shots are not accepted; the head should be between 50 % and 70 % of the image's total height, from the top of the head including the hair to the bottom of the chin.
- Same FAQ, head coverings and children: a hat or head covering only if worn daily for religious purposes, with the full face visible and the covering not obscuring the hairline or casting shadows on the face; for a child, the child must be the only person in the photo and nothing used to support the child, including the arms or hands of a parent holding the child, should be in the camera's frame.
