Recent notes — Israel
Short notes we wrote when a requirement, a form or a submission portal changed.
- Israel ETA-IL Passport Scan Requirements 2026: Upload Rules and 2MB LimitIsrael's mandatory Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) system requires applicants from visa-exempt countries to upload a digital scan of their passport's biographic page. The system enforces strict upload rules: files must be in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format and cannot exceed 2MB in size. The scan must clearly display the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) to allow the system to automatically extract the traveler's details. Failure to meet these technical requirements will prevent the application from being submitted.
