Which paper should I use?

4x6 photo paper gives the cleanest cut edge. A home printer with Letter paper works too — more photos per sheet, the same size.

Does print scale actually matter?

Yes: any other scale makes the printer resize the sheet, so the print turns out bigger or smaller than 2x2. Only “actual size” stays exact.

A ready-to-cut sheet for 2x2 photos: on a 4x6 print — 6 edge to edge, on Letter — 20.
