The Belarus Ministry of Foreign Affairs asks for one photograph (35 × 45 mm), made not earlier than 6 months before submission, full face, with the face about 70–80 % of the photo — and the embassies spell the rest out. The US embassy adds a colour photograph on a plain, evenly lit, light background, high resolution, without sunglasses, hat or other head covering unless for ethnic or religious reasons, and with no «corrugation or ink»; the Pakistan embassy names the standard — ISO/IEC 19794-5 — and writes 35 mm wide × 45 mm high, full face, an even white background («no photos with blue background will be accepted»), the face filling 70–80 % of the picture, no headgear, looking straight ahead with a closed mouth, glasses not dark, and a religious head covering only if the chin, the forehead and both cheeks are sharply visible; the Qatar embassy writes an even light background and «70–80 percent of the picture placed vertically».
At the Istanbul consulate the photograph is stapled to the marked space at the upper right-hand corner of the form — «do not staple the face». The Belarus e-visa (a single-entry individual visa for up to 30 days, applied for on the E-Pasluga website or app, considered within seven calendar days, plus a EUR 6.00 service fee) is described by the Ministry without a photo specification.

Background: plain light
