Kazakhstan passport photos are administered by eGov.kz / Ministry of Internal Affairs and the spec is published at egov.kz. The format is 35×45mm with face occupying 70-80% (head 32-36mm chin-to-crown).
Background must be grey (not white) — and notably, the shade depends on hair color: light grey for dark-haired applicants, medium-tone grey for light-haired. This hair-contrast rule is unique among CIS countries.
Digital files: 413×531 px at 24-bit depth, max 30KB — one of the smallest file-size limits worldwide. Only thick photographic paper, no scans.

How to take it
Background: white or light grey
