What we fix for free, and what AI fixes
Fixed for free
- Background. Replaced with the one this document asks for: strictly white background; one colour photo 35 × 45 mm, not older than 6 months.
- Head tilt. Straightened if the head leans slightly to one side.
- Frame. Exactly 35 × 45 mm, by the document’s rules.
- A light shadow on one side of the face. Gently brightened.
- File and print sheet. A file to the document’s rules and a 10 × 15 or A4 sheet to print.
What can't be fixed for free, AI correction fixes
- Hard shadows and uneven light on the face.
- A smile, raised brows or a half-open mouth. Cropping keeps the face it was given.
- Too few pixels. If the original is smaller than 413 × 531 px, enlarging it only blurs the face.
- Clothing and pose. Shoulders out of frame, body turned away from the camera.
Glare on the lenses. Take the glasses off or turn away from the light source and shoot again.
Why these photos get rejected — and how to fix each one
Poland-specific things to know
- Five of the six pages read ask for one photograph; one tourism and family-visit checklist asks for two. The number is the mission's own: count it on the list that covers you.
- The size is the usual Schengen 35 × 45 mm, but the 70–80 % face share is spelled out only by the India checklist and Poland in Lebanon; the other lists say «passport type» or «ICAO».
- The photo is checked at the counter: Poland in Lebanon states that a missing or non-compliant photo means the application is not accepted.

- Embassy of Poland in Bangkok (visiting family or friends): «1 photo: biometric, passport type, color, dimensions: 35mmx45mm, white background, dating from the last 6 months (compliant with ICAO standards)», with a link to the European Commission ICAO photograph guidelines.
- Poland in Lebanon, C-type Schengen visa: a 3.5 × 4.5 cm colour photo — sharp, taken against a white background and printed on quality paper, newer than 6 months, taken en face, clearly showing the eyes and the face on both sides from the top of the head to the top of the shoulders with the face covering 70–80 % of the photo. «If you do not bring the photo or it doesn't meet the requirements, your application will not be accepted.» The visa application form is filled in via the e-konsulat system, printed and signed.
