What the source confirms
  • Gov.pl says the passport or ID photo should be current and taken no earlier than 6 months before the application.
  • For an ID-card application at an office, Gov.pl requires a printed colour photo in 35 × 45 mm format.
  • For an online ID-card application, Gov.pl requires at least 492 × 633 px and a maximum file size of 2.5 MB.
  • The face should occupy 70-80% of the photo and show the whole head plus the upper shoulders.
  • Dark glasses, head coverings and anything that makes identification harder are not allowed, except documented religious, medical or disability-related cases.
