What the source confirms
  • The Ministry of Interior ID-card guidance says the application is submitted in person.
  • For first issue of a biometric ID card, the applicant may optionally provide a 50 × 50 mm photograph.
  • The optional photo must faithfully show the applicant.
  • The background should be monochrome grey.
  • The photo should not be older than six months, but it is optional rather than mandatory for every ID-card route.
